Special Episode: Richard Hester on Memoir 'Hold, Please: Stage Managing A Pandemic'

On today's episode, Matt Tamanini is in conversation with veteran Broadway stage manager Richard Hester. Having spent years working on various productions of "Jersey Boys," Richard is now at work on the world premiere of "The Karate Kid: The Musical."

However, he and Matt discuss his new memoir "Hold, Please: Stage Managing a Pandemic." During the first year of the theatrical shutdown, in his habitual way, Richard organized his thoughts and began sharing them on social media. He contextualized what was happening, providing perspective through both historical and theatrical lenses.
