On today's episode, Matt Tamanini is in conversation with Sara Esty who is currently playing Polly Baker in Asolo Rep's production of "Crazy for You" running in Sarasota, Florida through Jan. 4, 2024. Having starred in "An American in Paris" on Broadway and on tour, Sara is quite familiar with the inner workings of a Gershwin musical, but she tells Matt how difficult it is to get her feet to remember that they are in tap shoes instead of pointe shoes.

They also discuss the differences between being in a show helmed by a director/choreographer vs. when those two roles are done by different people, Susan Stroman's fingerprints on this production, and why this musical set in Dead Rock, Nevada might just be a sneaky Hallmark Christmas show.
