On today's episode, Matt Tamanini is in conversation with lighting designer Jen Schriever, who is taking on the Herculean technical and creative task of lighting what is reportedly the second-most expensive musical in the history of Broadway, "The Lost Boys."

Along with director Michael Arden, Schriever is co-designing this adaptation that is set in the real world of California, but with a decidedly supernatural twist. In their conversation, Matt and Jen discuss the beautiful first-look images released by the production, how important lighting is for a flying effect, her working process with Arden, whether or not you need to watch the movie before seeing the musical, and much more.
